Alert), Inc., a provider of voice processing equipment for telecommunication networks around the world, has announced the appointment of a new President and CEO.
The company's Board of Directors voted to appoint Todd Simpson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
In May of this year, Simpson was
appointed Vice President of Marketing by Ditech Networks. In this role he was responsible for leading all marketing initiatives at Ditech, including: market strategy, product management, corporate communications, and marketing programs.
Simpson joined Ditech Networks through their acquisition of Jasomi Networks where he served as President and CEO. Prior to Jasomi, Simpson was also CTO of Zi Corporation and was noted for having founded several successful Canadian high-tech firms.
Commenting on his latest appointment as President and CEO of Ditech Networks, Simpson said in a statement, "I am excited about working closely with employees and the board to extend Ditech's position as a voice quality leader in the communications industry. I'm also eager to work with Ditech's customers and partners as we further serve mobile and VoIP

markets around the world."
In late June 2005, Ditech announced the completion of their acquisition of Jasomi Networks, a provider of VoIP session border controllers.
The transaction was completed on June 30, 2005 after Jasomi shareholders approved the acquisition and was noted for allowing Ditech to "combine the voice processing technology in its Packet Voice Processor (

Alert) platform with Jasomi’s industry-leading session border controller (SBC

) to provide a complete border services solution package to carriers."
