Bringing over 800 additional cabinets for co-location

and interconnection services to the greater Dallas market this acquisition has happened only months after Telx expanded their initial Dallas facility located in the Univision Tower Building at 2323 Bryan Street, doubling the size to over 11,000 square feet.
A fiber network will link the two facilities enabling customers in the new Stemmons facility the ability to reach 70+ networks already deployed within the Telx Meet Me Room Xchange Center at 2323 Bryan. Telx now operates over 31,000 square feet of co-location space in Dallas, which has strengthened its position as a major provider of network rich technology co-location facilities.
Eric Shepcaro (

The company acquired ten network rich exchange facilities from Digital Realty Trust and one from NYC Connect providing us a presence at 111 8th Avenue in New York.
Shepcaro said that now with 14 facilities in 9 markets, the time is right to continue their expansion and growth. Stemmons will also provide Telx the opportunity to deploy their annex strategy of new Telx ColoXchange Centers that will provide an array of Telx connectivity products and services.
Tesh Durvasula, CMO for Telx said in a statement that not only are they thrilled to play such a significant role in this expanding technology corridor, but to use this expansion announcement as the opportunity for the re-branding of Telx Meet Me Rooms into Telx 'Xchange Centers' which will serve as locations for their growing list of network providers, content providers and enterprises to exchange network and content and grow their businesses.
According to Durvasula, in 2008, Telx intends to add and expand network rich ColoXchange Centers in several of the 9 markets it currently operates in as well as expanding into several new markets.
Tier 1 Research's 'Carrier Neutral Colocation' report says that Dallas/North Texas is the 3rd largest marketplace of Carrier Neutral Co-location in North America. Co-location companies are more focused on investing in other markets, which makes Dallas an underserved market for new space.
The new co-location space Telx acquired is a purpose built data center facility that offers raised floors and boasts redundant power sources, both AC and DC options, generator back-up and HVAC solutions required to support global network operators and enterprise equipment.
Recognizing Dallas as a fast growing technology corridor, The Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Group has taken many initiatives focused on attracting businesses and to grow the economy include such programs as the DALLAS REGIONAL MOMENTUM.
Telx offers network connectivity to the marketplace by providing secure co-location and interconnection services for our customer's mission critical operations.
