Pirelli Broadband Solutions has selected OpenRG and OpenSMB access gateway software from Jungo (News - Alert) Ltd. for develop Pirelli’s portfolio of residential and business gateways. Coupled with Jungo's software, Pirelli's access gateways promise an extensive range of applications for the delivery of advanced services.

Jungo Ltd. offers broadband home value-added service solutions. Using Jungo's flagship products, OpenRG (residential gateway software platform) and OpenSMB (small and medium business gateway software platform), broadband Operators can deliver managed revenue-generating services to the digital home.

In addition, the advanced IP-PBX (News - Alert), voice and security capabilities are delivered in a single scaleable platform that can be remotely configured and managed by the advanced Operator.

The Pirelli devices powered by Jungo's software are based on the common industry standards valid for networking, voice protocols, and hardware interfaces. The devices are flexible enough to suit any Operator's specific functional and service requirements.

What’s more, Pirelli's comprehensive portfolio of residential and business gateways complies with the DSL Forum TR-069 protocol for remote management. Due to its advanced networking and QoS capabilities, the Discus family of gateways supports a broad range of applications such as wired/wireless data, VoIP, fixed-mobile convergence, IPTV, shared storage, and printing through a USB port.
