Dialogic (

The Dialogic 4000 Media Gateway (
News -
Alert) Series, which is not yet available, was conceived with Microsoft’s upcoming Office Communications Server 2007 release in mind.
The DMG4000 Series combines a SIP-based VoIP

media gateway subsystem with a Windows server running the Mediation Server software required for the unified communications application, in a neat, 1U rack mountable device, designed to lower the cost and the datacenter footprint.
The Mediation Server software ensures high quality, secure VoIP communications between IP

endpoints and media gateways in the OCS 2007 environment.
The DMG4000 series is a high-availability solution, featuring Dialogic’s Diva multi-span T1/E1 telephony boards, Dialogic Diva SIPcontrol software, and the aforementioned Microsoft (

The solution runs on a compact Intel IP-Network Server featuring high-performance 64-bit Dual-Core Intel Xeon 5100 series processors. The media gateway sub-system offers dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and a choice of either two or four T1/E1 interfaces to support up to 60 or 120 channels of unified communications traffic between legacy networks and IP networks.
Some of the main features of the newly announced solution include:
- Certified for use as an interconnect between legacy PBXs or the PSTN
and the Office Communications Server 2007.
- Compatible with the equipment of popular PBX (News - Alert) manufacturers, including Alcatel, Avaya/Tenovis, DeTeWe, Ericsson, Lucent, Matra, Nortel, and Siemens.
- Includes redundant power supply, Raid-1 hard disk subsystem, and a failover and load balancing Ethernet network connection.
- Supports supplementary services on ETSI (News - Alert)-DSS1, QSIG, and other TDM
protocols.
- Supports configuration via standard Windows Desktop or Remote Desktop connections.
Distributors will begin taking advance orders for the DMG4000 series next week (July 16), and Dialogic expects to begin shipping the gateways upon the production release of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
