ZTE (News - Alert) has chosen the Hifn 7855 security processor for their AIM IPsec Module of ZXR10 Series Routers to enable fast, secure communication traffic across network devices.

Using Hifn’s 7855 security processor the ZTE ZXR10 Series Routers will be able to handle the necessary VPN applications within data communications systems such as media gateways, remote access servers, network controllers, and broadband connection nodes.

The Hifn 7855 security processor can dynamically handle both IPsec and SSL processing as well as multi-protocol security processing at Full-duplex speeds.

Li Weipu, Datacom, the product director at ZTE believes that ZTE customers are becoming increasingly concerned about data security and are searching for a product that provides high performance, low latency and good small packet throughput for the strongest commercial security transforms.

According to Tom Moore, vice president of marketing and sales at Hifn, their company has refined and optimized their products to provide the highest-level of security to protect information where ever it resides.

“ZTE is leveraging Hifn's expertise to provide a high-performance solution for securing information in transit,” said Moore.

A comprehensive set of software tools support the Hifn HIPP family. The tools include a Software Development Kit (SDK) and Hifn’s Security Platform (HSP), a collection of hardware and software that provide a full security reference solution for manufacturers of IPsec and SSL networking products.

The company points out that the ability to support line-speed encryption and decryption has become a requirement since the increased level of network traffic requires some level of security. Hifn said the HIPP family of security processors guarantees system performance as well as reduce system latency.
