Cardiff Consulting, a division of Autonomy Corporation PLC, has launched LiquidOffice Version 5.0 (v5), reportedly the first and only business process management (BPM) solution enabling real-time access to, and use of, time-sensitive content spanning the process lifecycle.
LiquidOffice v5 incorporates state-of-the-art features for the benefit of mobile professionals. The enterprise-class capabilities offered by this solution aids professionals to stay informed about the latest business developments and actively partake in the key business processes. It provides instant access to process-critical tasks, forms, and other related materials through mobile devices such as BlackBerry (News - Alert)(R) smartphones. In addition, it enables participants to sign documents digitally using mobile devices.
Most business decisions and tasks are interdependent. The time lag involved in arriving at appropriate decisions is a constant cause of worry for mobile professionals. With instant access to important business tasks and e-forms made available by LiquidOffice v5, both professionals and businesses are bound to benefit from prompt and efficient decision-making.
With the release of LiquidOffice v5, Cardiff has tried to address varied customer concerns. The highlights of this release are: improved paper document handling capability, enabled online approvals mechanism, and flexibility in processes to adapt to transient business conditions and exceptions.
The solution enables processes to change course, both dynamically and automatically, based on the changing business conditions. It helps maintain complete auditability and visibility, even if the process steps occur on paper, web, or a wireless mobile device. It removes the need for organizations to predefine all their business processes before automation.
Terry Sutherland, CEO of ImageSource, said in a statement, “We are excited about our deployment of mobile business process management based on the Cardiff LiquidOffice and BlackBerry smartphone platforms. With anywhere-anytime BlackBerry access to our corporate eForms and business processes, we have seen immediate benefits including a 300 percent increase in reimbursable field service expenses and a reduction in processing times from several days to less than one day. Our employees, customers and business have significantly benefited from this solution.”
Most organizations these days try to minimize unnecessary costs, accelerate the pace of their business operations, and render efficient customer service. The new version of LiquidOffice, through optimization of the business processes, will help realize these objectives.
Mark Seamans, CEO of Cardiff, stated, “LiquidOffice v5 extends Cardiff's vision for Intelligent Documents with a unique approach to enterprise process improvement. By combining the ability to embrace both paper and anywhere-anytime online forms with intelligent workflows, as well as security and audit trails, Cardiff allows organizations to focus on process optimization and achieving a business advantage.”
One of the main features of LiquidOffice v5 is that it enhances the functionality of Web-based e-forms. It provides the ability to generate intelligent barcodes in printable HTML
forms that further enables accurate automated reading of the forms. Additionally, the format of these forms is automatically customized depending on information filled in by the user; still the form manages to retain its page-orientation and can be printed.
The presence of a wizard-like interface in LiquidOffice v5 assists users throughout the process of filling complex forms. The wizard takes hints from the responses provided by users and proceeds in accordance.
The new version is designed to modify and enhance processing of information gathered from paper and electronic sources using embedded intelligence and enhanced control.
