Tiscali International Network (TINet), the carrier arm of Tiscali Group, provides international wholesale products such as IP
Transit, MPLS lines, and Voice Termination to global carriers and service providers. With a vast presence and varied clientele in the EMEA, Americas, and APAC region, TINet offers ISPs with reliable connectivity to the Internet within seven working days. Additionally, it provides content providers direct access to key eyeball networks and promises customers proactive management of SLAs and prevention from DDOS attacks.
Recently, the company decided to put up an aggressive campaign for expansion in the North American wholesale IP Transit market. The first step in this regard is to ramp up its network infrastructure, network capacity, and sales and marketing organization in the region.
In the last twelve months, TINet has witnessed a dramatic growth in the North American region, with its network traffic increasing by 300 percent. The company plans to deploy Juniper’s MX960 platform, a carrier Ethernet
platform, as part of the network infrastructure upgrade.
This will help them increase their network edge traffic capabilities. In addition, TINet will be increasing its presence in Miami to meet the enormous growth of Latin American service providers.
Paolo Susnik, Chief Executive Officer of TINet, said in a statement, “We expect to become a much more recognized player in the North American IP & MPLS
wholesale market over the coming months and years as we increase our focus upon the region. In the North American market as in other markets, our focus on wholesale IP & MPLS has meant that we are faster, hungrier and more customer-focused than our competitors. That is a big part of why leading players around the world have been choosing us to deliver high volume Internet connectivity according to the highest standards of performance.”
Keeping in mind the transient business environment and rising customer demand, the company has decided to spend heavily in the Trans-Pacific region between the West Coast of the United States and Hong Kong. This will help TINet to meet Asian-based traffic coming from its North American customers.
