Inter-Tel Chooses Viola Networks NetAlly for VoIP Network Testing

VoIP management solutions provider Viola Networks announced today that its NetAlly Lifecycle Manager has been chosen to provide the foundation for Inter-Tel’s VoIP network assessment services.

Inter-Tel (News - Alert), a company that specializes in voice and data communications solutions for the business market, is using NetAlly’s advanced VoIP evaluation functions to conduct concurrent assessments of network components.

Because NetAlly centralizes the concurrent testing process, Inter-Tel now is able to efficiently check up on geographically dispersed network locations in advance of deployments.

In a press release, Viola Networks explained that NetAlly’s “intelligent diagnostic tests pinpoint the source of performance bottlenecks in both the client LAN and in the service provider's WAN transport network.”

Inter-Tel’s CTO, Jeffrey Ford, elaborated further: “NetAlly Lifecycle Manager enables us to simultaneously conduct numerous network assessments 100 percent remotely from a central location, providing us with critical savings in time and resources.”

Ford added that NetAlly’s multi-user capabilities results in more network efficiency and reliability for Inter-Tel’s customers.

“Enterprises are migrating to VoIP rapidly to reap the benefits of lower telephony costs, a platform for converged voice and data services and enhanced communications management,” commented Viola Networks CEO Uri Feldman, in a statement.

Feldman continued: “Voice is the most demanding of network services and ensuring voice quality is vital. Assessment and periodic active call quality testing with passive device monitoring is the only way to accurately predict VoIP performance.”
