Middle East will be first to receive Nokia N97

(ArabianBusiness.com (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) N97, the flagship of Nokia Nseries devices, will arrive in June.

The phone, which was unveiled exclusively to Windows Arabic magazine, is marketed as the world's most advanced mobile computer and will arrive in the Middle East before any other international market.

Nokia's N97 is the flagship in Nseries devices, which introduces a large 3.5" touch display with a full QWERTY keyboard. The large screen is set to be fully personalized with frequently updated widgets of favorite web services and social networking sites, these widgets could be to the get the latest e-mails, play music, get Facebook's updates or view breaking news.


Nokia N97 supports up to 48 GB of storage, including 32 GB of on-board memory, expandable with a 16 GB microSD card for music, media and other files. This is complemented by excellent music capabilities and full support for the Nokia Music Store on http://music.nokia.ae/.

The phone also has a 5 megapixel camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss lens, 16:9 and DVD quality video capture (30 FPS), and support for all types of connectivity like HSDPA and WLAN.

Users in the Middle East will get a free three months subscription to navigation services.

The estimated retail price of Nokia N97 is USD 750 before taxes or subsidies though there's no word yet on how much it will cost here in the UAE.
