By Anil Sharma
TMCnet Contributing Editor

Teledex, a worldwide provider of guest room telephones for the hospitality industry, has completed a major ExpressNet installation encompassing over 520 Motel 6 locations throughout North America.

Teledex is also providing 24/7 guest and administrative support for all the guest rooms and lobbies served.

Teledex’s ExpressNet solutions deliver reliable, high performance high-speed Internet solutions at very affordable costs.

ExpressNet is the preferred broadband solution for many of the world’s best-known hotel groups in all segments of the industry, from economy lodging to luxury hotels and resorts.

“This is an excellent demonstration of our capabilities as an integrator of network products and services,” commented Teledex CEO, Ron Lesniak, Ph.D.

“Our in-house team directed a substantial force of field technicians that managed to install an average of 35 properties per week over the course of the project, enabling Accor to roll out their new ExpressNet wireless service to their customer base on time,” Lesniak concluded.

Teledex, now in its 23rd year, has shipped over 12 million guestroom telephones to over 125 countries, and is a supplier of guestroom telephones to major global hotel chains, as well as a number of other multinational corporations.

Teledex’s innovative iPhone (News - Alert) VoIP solutions put cutting-edge VoIP features within the reach of any hotel, anywhere.

Second Rule, a Teledex partner, supplied IP3 NetAccess gateways for the project. One gateway per property was configured and installed by Teledex field technicians, to handle user authentication, network management and other tasks critical to deploying successful wireless Internet service.

Andrew Marshall (News - Alert), the president and CEO of Second Rule, the manufacturer of IP3 NetAccess, noted, “We are extremely proud to have been selected to provide the gateways by Teledex for this major implementation, and to have such a capable integration partner.”

“IP3 NetAccess provides reliable and stable access to the Internet for any size of deployment, and will serve Motel 6 well for many years to come,” Marshall added.

Through its IP3 Networks Division, Second Rule is a provider of subscriber gateways and edge-network access control management products for broadband wireless and wired networks.

Its products provide enterprises, government and military facilities, public venues, transportation hubs, healthcare facilities, service providers and hospitality properties with secure control and management of public access to the Internet, individual/group policy enforcement to Internet access, and flexible billing of Internet usage by individuals or groups.

Second Rule, through its worldwide network of resellers and distributors, has thousands of NetAccess gateways installed today across five continents.
