Infoblox (News - Alert) has announced that Banc Sabadell has deployed Infoblox appliances for core network services, including internal and external domain name resolution (DNS) and IP address assignment (DHCP), and configuration file distribution services (TFTP/HTTP) for supporting the bank's voice over IP (VoIP) application.

 

Banc Sabadell is a banking group, comprising different banks, brands, subsidiaries and part-owned companies. Core network services provide the bank's network infrastructure for customers, online and from its branch offices as well.

 

The Infoblox appliances with the DNSone package and grid technology provide the security, features and stability the bank needs. Banc Sabadell has deployed multiple Infoblox-550 and -1550 appliances in high availability pairs for its regional branch offices across Spain. It delivers continuous internal and external DNS and DHCP services for the Banc Sabadell network.

Infoblox appliances support the bank's new VoIP application with reliability for IP address assignment to the handsets. Also, integrated TFTP functionality allows Banc Sabadell to distribute new firmware files to the VoIP handsets.
