By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor
VoIP application software provider BroadSoft, Inc. has announced the expansion of its Belfast operations to support the company’s growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa – also known as the EMEA region.
Broadsoft has been providing telecommunication services to large carriers in Europe since 2002, and opened its European Headquarters at Northern Ireland Science Park (NISP) in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2006. To accommodate its growing customer base company has more than doubled its space requirement in the past three years.
Geoffrey K. Hicks, vice president of operations at BroadSoft (News - Alert), said that the expansion of BroadSoft’s Belfast operations not only further establishes their strong presence in EMEA, but also ensures that customers continue to receive world-class, real-time technical support and professional services from its Belfast Operations Center.
“Our flexible, agile workspace solutions and open-access connectivity supports the needs of companies across a wide range of sectors,” Frank Hewitt, NISP chairman, said. “NISP blends the very best infrastructure with business support mechanisms to promote growth among tenant companies. During its time here, BroadSoft has expanded significantly, and we want to see them continue to grow with us. We are pleased to offer the capacity that matches BroadSoft’s growing customer support requirements.”
BroadSoft’s BroadWorks VoIP application platform is currently deployed by more than 100 service providers in the European market, including Telefonica, T-Systems, TDC, Slovak Telecom, Belgacom (News - Alert) and KPN, and in more IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks.
The company has also earned prestigious TL 9000 and ISO 9001:2000 certifications. The Quality of Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST (News - Alert)) Forum’s TL 9000 certification indicates a company consistently meets or exceeds a set of quality expectations that parallel rapid technology changes and customer expectations.
