Aradial Intros New Version of Aradial Policy and Billing Controller

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

Aradial, a global provider of billing, user management and policy control solutions for IP service providers, has introduced Aradial Policy and Billing Controller Version 5.1.

The v. 5.1 product is described as an all-in-one product for online AAA, prepaid billing, payment, balance management and enforcement, user management, and policy control. Company officials said that the solution has been specifically designed for entry-level service providers that want to start small and scale up as their needs grow.

Tomer Shahaf, director of sales for North America at Aradial, said that the Aradial suite solves the dilemma of entry-level and medium-size service providers – starting small with minimum investment in infrastructure while scaling up as needs grow, without having to replace their CC&B systems.

“We have already performed interoperability ecosystem testing with leading WiMAX (News - Alert) ASN gateways and deployed the solution with several WiMAX operators,” he said.

Company officials said that the suite is offered in three packages AAA/RADIUS policy controller; Prepaid Data; Prepaid Data and VoIP.

AAA/RADIUS policy controller is an advanced AAA with policy enforcement, while Prepaid Data is an advanced AAA featuring policy enforcement, prepaid billing plans, and a payment system. Company officials said that Prepaid Data and VoIP is advanced AAA with policy enforcement, data and VoIP prepaid billing plans, and a payment system

The suite was designed for integration with the provider’s legacy systems, and it has already been pre-integrated and deployed with billing systems like FTS’ Leap Billing and FTS Express, UshaComm’s Billing, Amdocs (News - Alert) Compact Convergence system, and more, said company officials.

Many features of the newest version were developed to target the growing WiMAX and long-term evolution (LTE (News - Alert), 4G) markets as well as large ISPs, and to comply with the requirements of next-generation operators, said company officials.

Moreover, the solution is fully compliant with WiMAX Forum (News - Alert) standards WiMAX 16d and 16e NWG 1.2 Stage 3, including the new prepaid standard for WiMAX and hotlining.
