Broadvox Delivers Comprehensive PBX at Lower Price Points
By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor
GO!Hosted, the latest announcement by Broadvox at the 2010 Broadvox Partner Summit in Dallas, Texas, is a solution designed to enable companies to enjoy a comprehensive suite of PBX (News - Alert)features at a dramatically lower price point.
When selecting GO!Hosted, customers gain access to a feature rich package of options with powerful administrative control and a broad range of end-user options. With traditional PBX features delivered at a fraction of the cost, smaller companies can appear as larger sophisticated businesses and at the same, they can benefit from improved levels of productivity associated with state of the art applications such as unified communications.
Broadvox has positioned GO!Hosted as establishing a new paradigm in pricing for hosted PBX service. The average cost per extension with this solution is roughly two-thirds less than what is charged by most other hosted VoIP providers for similar services.
Lower cost is delivered by separating the price of the per extension license fee from the usage of local and long distance calling.
With such an approach, companies with a high number of extensions, yet low usage, will have the opportunity to pay less than companies with the same number of extensions but higher usage. Customers will no longer have to pay for usage on phones of little use, such as conference room, kitchen, warehouse or reception area phones.
Beyond the cost savings, GO!Hosted also offers a user-friendly administrative portal for simple and quick administration of user profiles, features and system configurations. The portal further extends the value of the solution as it supports the requirements of SMBs, call centers and enterprise branch offices and telecommuting workers.
A nationwide robust IP communications network with 24/7 support for HD voice quality. Activation can be completed with additional software licenses or equipment, other than IP Phones. GO!Hosted is subscription based and scalable to support company growth and expansion without sacrificing any features or benefits.
'With GO!Hosted, Broadvox delivers a hosted VoIP/SIP Trunking solution to companies of all sizes, regardless of their telecom budget or resource limitations' said George Richardson (News - Alert), Computer Telephony Distributors, CEO, in a statement. 'Unlike other hosted solutions, GO!Hosted is a comprehensive suite of PBX functions with the per user license separated from the usage which reduces the overall system cost tremendously.'
The latest addition to the Broadvox GO!, GO!Hosted is certified with handsets and softphones from industry players such as Polycom (News - Alert), Cisco, Linksys, Grandstream, Broa Softphone and others. GO!Hosted software and servers are maintained by Broadvox thus eliminating administrative overhead costs.
In other Broadvox news, the company announced that it is now certified interoperable with Digium's Switchvox (News - Alert) SMB business communications system. Interoperability certification lets resellers deliver unified communications solutions to SMBs looking for less expensive options to integrate phones, e-mail, chat, video and the Internet.
In February, Broadvox certified version 6.14 of Interact's SPOT Media Platform for interoperability with the BroadvoxGO! SIP Trunking product line. According to Interact officials, the SPOT VoiceXML (News - Alert)/CCXML Media Platform 'completed extensive testing and proved to be successful in all aspects.'
