SolutionSet, the brand technology company, has announced the appointment of Kurt Garbe as the Company's Chief Executive Officer. Alex Kaplinsky who will be succeeded by Garbe will continue serving as Chairman and managing partner devoted to expanding SolutionSet operations and services.

Garbe has a bachelor's of science in electrical engineering from Clarkson University in New York, a master's of science in engineering from Cornell University and a master's in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business where he graduated with distinction.

 

SolutionSet believes that Kurt brings unique understanding of the growing role technology plays in architecting modern digital brands. Before joining SolutionSet, Garbe served in Adobe as Vice President. Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Movaris and Chief Operating Officer of Asera. Garbe has rich experience of serving as the Chief Operating Officer of USWeb/CKS. Here, he played an important role in expanding the company from 400 to 3,000 employees, creating the largest pure play Internet services firm in less than two years.

 

Garbe has also served as the general manager of Synopsys' (News - Alert) professional services division, where he developed the division from a start-up to a $40 million run rate in two years. Garbe also has worked as a consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton and Gemini.
