Intuitive Voice (News - Alert) Technology (IVT) announced on Thursday that the company has added Bill Soto as senior vice president of sales to develop its growing sales organization.

 

IVT is among the industry leaders providing open source, Asterisk (News - Alert)-based IP telephony systems. Evolution PBX, Intuitive Voice's award winning IP-PBX product line for small and medium sized businesses includes a hardened subset of the popular open source Asterisk code base. Intuitive Voice has a unique blend of innovation and ease of use that have made it one of the fastest growing Asterisk-based PBX systems on the market.

 

Before joining Intuitive Voice Technology, Mr. Soto was vice president of sales for Citel Technologies (News - Alert), the VoIP Migration Company. In addition to increasing their U.S. sales, Mr. Soto has opened new distribution for Citel in Puerto Rico, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, Jamaica and Canada.

 

Mr. Soto began his telecommunications career in 1984 with Executone New York selling key systems the old fashioned way, cold calling and one at a time. He has also held numerous sales management positions with companies such as, BroadSoft (News - Alert), SS8 Networks, ADC, Centigram and Intellicom.

 

Through many years of steady sales success and discipline, Mr. Soto has held sales management positions such as Director of Strategic Global Alliances, VP of Sales for the Caribbean and Latin America, VP of Sales Asia Pacific, VP of U.S. Sales and has lived in Venezuela and Singapore and done business in over 52 countries.

 

In addition to his management experience, he is also certified as a Mitel (News - Alert) IP Sales Professional as well as a Certified Cisco Sales Expert.
