Composite Software Provides Value to Business Users and IT Professionals
By Calvin Azuri TMCnet Contributing Editor Business Intelligence Network’s Ron Powell recently conducted an interview with the Chief Technical Officer of Composite Software, David Besemer. During this interview, Besemer explained how Composite Discovery delivers quicker time to answer for business users and reduces the overload for IT professionals. The Business Intelligence Network’s Web site (www.BeyeNETWORK.com) provides the industry with up-to-the-minute news, newsletters, articles, executive spotlights, podcasts, expert-hosted channels and blogs.
In the interview, Besemer stated that, “Data is siloed within today’s organizations, and Composite’s virtualized data integration allows you to treat it as a single pool for reporting and analysis. The new Composite Discovery appliance makes data accessible to end users so they can easily and quickly discover the answers they need.”
The Business Intelligence Network Solution Spotlights are intuitive dialogues with various solution providers. These spotlights introduce the industry to new products and services of interest to the business intelligence community. Six newsletters are published by the Network which has around 115,000 readers spread across a wide variety of industries. These newsletters are the largest source of newsletter-based information for business intelligence, performance management, data warehousing, data integration and data quality. According to Powell, “Composite Discovery seems ideal because business users get their immediate data access needs met with less demand on IT. It’s a win/win solution.”
Composite Software is a privately held corporation based in Silicon Valley. The company is an independent provider of virtual data integration software for both IT and business professionals. The solutions offered by the company discover and deliver information across multiple locations and disparate data sources. This helps enterprises to solve day-to-day business problems in less time. The solutions provided by Composite Software provide an important link between enterprise data and the desktop, complimenting traditional physical data integration and at the same time delivers greater flexibility and control for its customers. The important customers of Composite Software include five of the top six U.S. investment banks, five of the top ten pharmaceutical companies, software vendors such as Cognos (News - Alert), Informatica and BMC as well as the U.S Defense and Intelligence agencies.
