Shenick's diversifEye Helps Anagran on Network Congestion

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Shenick Network Systems has stated that their diversifEye solution is helping Anagran (News - Alert) to remove and resolve network congestion. This will thereby enable video, voice, data and wireless applications flow flawlessly over converged IP networks.

Shenick (News - Alert) is a provider of IP communications test and performance monitoring systems that enables converged IP network service providers to test and monitor the complete service delivery lifecycle from lab to live deployment.

Anagran's flow technology is asserted to get rid of the potentially crippling effects of traffic congestion to enable video, voice, data and wireless traffic to co-exist and grow with flawless quality over converged IP networks.

With a helpful real-time application on a per-client basis provided by the DiversifEye, Anagran can control its network traffic and quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) to users.

According to officials, Shenick addresses next-generation converged network and application performance issues for IPTV, VoD, Triple Play (News - Alert) (VoIP video, data), IMS, Security Attack Mitigation, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Traffic Shaping, Peer to Peer (P2P), Application Server, Metro Ethernet and IPv4/IPv6 hybrid network deployments.

"Shenick's scaleable flow-based test and verification technology has proven to be a vital component in aiding Anagran to test the efficacy of our products in eliminating the potentially crippling effects of traffic congestion," said John Harper, vice president engineering, Anagran. "Shenick's per-client, per-flow architecture is impressive because it generates and measures in real time, highly-scalable, stateful TCP-aware application flows that are as real as the real world and not just packets passing through the network. This helps us to get a true snapshot of how well our products ease congestion in real world environments."

Shenick states that their technology of giving a real-time simulation of how apps affect the complexity of the network can enable products such as Anagran's FR-1000 to monitor, not only the flow of applications, but the impact right down to an individual user basis in real time.

Anagran on its part has stated that they have ensured that their Fast Flow Technology enables service and network providers to free up network capacity, save on transmission capacity costs and deliver ultimate quality of service and experience for every user, regardless of the congestion status of the network.

Shenick adds that their solution is suited for network specialization experts who would have to maintain key infrastructure products to work seamlessly without having to affect the network traffic and also can guarantee QoS, QoE and free up extra network capacity.
