Global Crossing Installs IP MPLS Technology for Cubix

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

Global Crossing (News - Alert), an IP solutions provider, has announced that it has completed the installation of an IP multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) technology network in six countries for Cubix, a software and hardware wholesale dealer.

With the help of Global Crossing’s network, Cubix is expected to facilitate its domestic and international growth by delivering “higher control” of its communications platform and making conveyance of voice, data and information flexible.

Cubix and Global Crossing Venezuela have placed this project in several countries. These countries include Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the United States, and Dominican Republic.

Global Crossing's IP virtual private network (VPN) service connects Cubix's worldwide facilities in a single corporate network, reaching global scope, scalable connectivity, more security, multiple access options and a wide range of IP Communication services.

Indicating that his company is planning to expand operations within Venezuela and beyond its frontiers, Moises Mizrahi, president at Cubix, said that this is why a strategic partner like Global Crossing is key to his company.

He also said in a statement that the company benefits from Global Crossing's services because they offer the security, reliability and performance needed to maintain “our high-quality standards for our domestic and international operations, fostering convergence of applications and services on IP Technology.”

Francisco Guzman, vice president of sales and services for Venezuela at Global Crossing, said that his company strives to provide a seamless offer in IP VPN Services, connectivity and security solutions, network capacity, infrastructure and high expertise of our professionals, as well as a customized care service ranging from negotiation through post-sales, so that the customers can exclusively focus on their core business.

Global Crossing IP VPN Service connects an enterprise's worldwide locations into a single, protected corporate network with multiple access options, a broad range of IP communication services, and quality of service (QoS).

The standard IP VPN offer with Network Integrity allows enterprises to monitor key performance metrics across their networks through Global Crossing's uCommand portal.

Earlier this month, Global Crossing announced that it’s enhancing its Global Crossing Collaboration Solutions in Colombia with features specifically designed to fulfil the demands of the local market.
