Netservices Partners with Avistar, Promotes Videoconferencing and Virtual Meetings Solutions

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

NetServices plc, a Manchester-based network solutions provider, has signed a deal with Avistar (News - Alert) Communications Corporation to expand its growing U.K. reseller network.

Avistar has signed an agreement with NetServices to offer its C3 (News - Alert) desktop conferencing software as part of NetServices’ wider integrated networking, voice and converged solutions packages.

Avistar officials say the C3 is a stand-alone solution, providing users Instant messaging ability to integrate video communications across outside the enterprise.

C3 delivers communication and collaboration functionality while ensuring industry leading bandwidth management, connectivity and quality of service, all without requiring additional network capacity, according to the company. C3 software comes in both small business and enterprise platform editions, providing a cost effective solution for small and large companies alike.

Many companies have adopted videoconferencing and virtual meetings solutions to reduce travel expense and carbon emissions. It also helps in increasing productivity and efficiency of the fellow employees.

NetServices CEO Mark Vickers pointed out that the latest partnership will ensure the demand for high quality services over IP can be found in one comprehensive, cost-effective package supplied jointly by both the companies.

He added, “Avistar boasts international clients and we look forward to working with them to develop an award-winning videoconferencing solution.”

Darren Innes, general manager of Worldwide Sales at Avistar said NetServices has a reputation for being an innovative and reliable service provider, with a dedication to meeting individual customer needs by developing networking and audiovisual packages.

He said the business world is increasingly dynamic, and collaborative decisions need to be made quickly and efficiently to allow companies to take advantage of changing market conditions.

NetServices now holds a unique position in the U.K. network service provision market, owing to its own network infrastructure whilst remaining carrier-independent for the provision of a variety of end user access circuits. It also owns and manages its own data centre, which connects into its nationwide Quality of Service (QoS) enabled core network.
