Smoothstone and Cynergy to Offer Improved Hosted IP Communications Services

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Smoothstone has entered into a strategic alliance with integrated telecom manager Cynergy to provide an enhanced range of hosted IP communications services.

With this partnership, Smoothstone (News - Alert) is looking to combine its industry experience in managed IP services with Cynergy's comprehensive strategy for designing and managing telecom solutions. Offering Cynergy customers with on-demand support and network management, Smoothstone will eliminate the need for multiple vendors.

“As trusted providers of streamlined telecom management, Cynergy brings more than 40 years of industry knowledge and experience to the table," remarked Smoothstone Chief Marketing Officer James Whitemore. "Our partnership will allow Smoothstone to leverage Cynergy's extensive client base and industry expertise while offering our own experience in hosted communications and SIP trunking.”

Cynergy feels that the flexibility provided by Smoothstone in mainstream hosting complements the company’s work on the frontend for mid-range businesses.

Hull & Company, a client of Cynergy, recently chose Smoothstone as the company provides a truly managed VoIP solution, according to Hull & Company. The company says Smoothstone is just a phone call away with all of the knowledge and expertise required by Hull & Company.

Hosted Communications improves the way companies communicate with their customers. The hosted voice and messaging services offered by service providers enable clients to better serve their customers with applications utilizing advanced functionality such as automated voice recognition and text to speech. The modern day hosted, on-demand, in & out bound communication services help customers realize their revenue potential.

Recently, Smoothstone helped its long time communications partners Metro United Way to assist people in need after Louisville, Kentucky was hit by a recent ice storm. Smoothstone quickly came up with a functioning call center that included 20 operator extensions within two days with IP-enabled phones, and a means to track every call through to the hotline through a Web-based interface. The ice storm in February left a half-million people stranded without power in sub-zero temperatures.
