Appia Crosses $1 Million Mark in Revenue-Sharing
By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor
Appia has passed the $1 million mark in revenue-sharing as it continues to experience rapid growth in nationwide network of partners in the recent years, according to the company.
Appia provides voice, video, and data services to its customers and works with various channel partners to market and sell managed services. The partners can diversify business with Appia’s proven services and generate new revenue streams. According to Appia, partners can save customers time and money by partnering with Appia, according to the compay.
Appia feels that the lukewarm economic growth has further contributed to the success of Appia’s partner programs. As it gets harder and harder to survive on equipment sales alone, both IT and telecom sectors are looking at recurring revenue streams.
“We don’t compete with or sell against our partners,” said Victor von Schlegell, Appia’s president. “Instead, we know that long-term collaborative relationships with our partners allow us to better serve our customers. The $1 million milestone reflects both the success of that collaboration and the ongoing satisfaction of our customers.”
According to Appia, current and prospective customers of the partners can get immediate access to the latest IP technologies for far less than the cost of an in-house implementation. Partners can also choose to offer the Appia services that best complement and augment their current offerings. Partners will get complete training, marketing and sales support, and other resources to help them effectively market and sell Appia services, claims Appia.
Recently, the company conducted online demonstrations of its Appia Video Communicator (AVC) collaboration technology on its Web site. According to Appia, Video Communicator makes high-quality video communication easy and affordable for SMBs. The solution combines the flexibility and low cost of desktop offerings with the high-resolution capabilities of expensive conference room systems. Appia Video Communicator does not require proprietary hardware, supports both conference rooms and remote users, and is fully encrypted from end to end.
