MACH Provides Roaming BM Solutions to Polkomtel
By Anuradha Shukla TMCnet Contributor MACH has reportedly signed a deal to provide roaming business management services to Polish mobile operator Polkomtel.
Officials said that the Polish market has become very competitive in recent years, and the operators may have to adjust the retail tariffs once EU roaming regulations come into effect.
The new business environment has driven operators such as Polkomtel to search for new revenue streams, minimize revenue leakage and to cut operational costs. MACH (News - Alert) says their demands can be addressed by their advanced roaming business management solutions.
Built on a NRTRDE-based data clearing platform, these solutions can provide the real-time visibility and control to maximize roaming revenues and profitability. In addition, these solutions also allow Polkomtel to detect fraudulent roaming activity in an early stage to reduce fraud losses.
Polkomtel will leverage MACH’s Data Clearing solutions for secure file processing and roaming data exchange to accelerate settlement processes and eliminate revenue leakage. The company says they will also allow the operator to employ more effective and faster decision-making through MACH’s business intelligence tools for roaming business analysis, tariff management and end-user routing.
MACH’s time- and cost-effective revenue assurance solutions will helps Polkomtel optimize its roaming traffic and identify new revenue opportunities. The optimization and streamlining of the billing cycle will eliminate revenue leakage, officials said. MACH also boasts local presence and support structure ensuring that Polkomtel's deployment of the MACH suite will maximise return on investment and minimise time to value.
According to Morten Brogger, MACH's chief commercial officer, the company clears more than half of all roaming calls on GSM and CDMA networks and has over 300 operational NRTRDE clients.
Brogger said the firm’s experience in this area and expressed their company’s delight in being chosen by Polkomtel to build their roaming business.
