Tangoe Certified by U.S. Federal Government GSA, Included in Multiple Award Schedule Program
By Anshu Shrivastava TMCnet Contributor Tangoe has announced that it has been certified by the General Services Administration “GSA (News - Alert)” to be included on its Multiple Award Schedule program for the next five years.
Created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public, GSA is a centralized federal procurement and property management agency. On behalf of federal agencies, the agency acquires office space, equipment, telecommunications, information technology, supplies, and services.
The GSA schedule is a widely-accepted government contract vehicle available to agency procurement officers. The GSA certification process requires that the potential vendors for government contracts are recognized as credible and established.
“Our GSA schedule provides both existing and future public sector Tangoe (News - Alert) clients with an additional vehicle to procure our telecom lifecycle management solutions,” said Al Subbloie, president and CEO at Tangoe, adding that this enables clients to reduce telecom costs while better managing and controlling every aspect of their telecommunications environment.
The GSA certification will allow federal, state, and local government agencies, having access to the GSA Schedule Contract program, to directly contract Tangoe for fixed and mobile communications lifecycle management enterprise services and software.
The company’s products are listed on GSA Schedule 70 – contract number GS-35F-0231V – for general purpose commercial information technology equipment, software, and services.
“With GSA certification, Tangoe is better positioned to provide government agencies with our patented technologies and award-winning services,” said Subbloie.
Tangoe is a provider of enterprise communications lifecycle management software and technology-enabled services. The company offers software, consulting, and technology-enabled managed services that help global organizations procure, manage, and control their fixed and mobile communications assets and their associated costs.
Earlier last month, the company completed a transaction with Information Strategies Group, which now operates as a division of Tangoe.
