Bytemobile and Camiant (News - Alert) have announced a joint interoperability partnership in which Bytemobile’s Unison Mobile Internet Platform will be integrated with Camiant’s Multimedia Policy Engine or MPE.

According to a press release, the solutions developed collaboratively will deliver intelligent traffic management solutions and value-added data services for operators. This helps them to evolve to mobile broadband services including Long-Term Evolution or LTE (News - Alert) 4G networks. Camiant’s policy control solutions enable broadband service providers to dynamically manage their networks for delivering broadband data services, IP-based communications services and rich media content.

The solutions of both the companies are Policy and Charging Control architecture-compliant as defined by 3GPP. Operators will be able to provide solutions including tiered service plans to monetize the diversity of traffic mix and application usage.

Widget-based dynamic applications and customer notification mechanisms help enhance the utility of operators’ services and also assure customer understanding. Operators can provide better customer experience by adding intelligence to existing services like mobile video services.

“Explosive growth in mobile broadband adoption and the increasing sophistication of mobile devices have created tremendous opportunities for operators to deliver a new wave of value-added services,” said Joel Brand (News - Alert), vice president of product management at Bytemobile, in the release.

“We are partnering with Camiant to offer flexible, powerful real-time application and subscriber management capabilities that will result in more efficient network utilization and increased profitability in today’s 3G environments, as well as support the next generation of services in future LTE networks,” added Brand.

Randy Fuller (News - Alert), vice president of business development at Camiant, said next-generation network technologies offer more bandwidth, but this bandwidth is being consumed by increasingly Internet-savvy customers. Camiant and Bytemobile (News - Alert) will be providing operators with new options to optimize service offerings and bandwidth consumption over 3G and LTE networks, he added.

Bytemobile provides mobile Internet solutions for wireless network operators. It is a tier-one provider of integrated mobile Internet solutions using which network operators can deliver value-added data services to consumers on all mobile devices.
