By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributor
Ascom Wireless Solutions, a provider of wireless on-site communications, reportedly announced recently that it will showcase its IP-based Nurse Call System at the Medica 2009, to be held in Düsseldorf Nov. 18 to 21.
At the show, the company said it will let viewers experience its latest deployments and solutions for personal alarms with location, baby and dementia supervision, patient monitoring, voice group calls, interactive messaging, transport logistics and IP-DECT (News - Alert) and VoWiFi handsets.
Ascom has been supplying its customers with advanced telecommunications systems, purpose-built handsets, wireless voice- and message transmission systems, customized alarm and positioning applications for the healthcare market.
The IP-based nurse call system, Ascom (News - Alert) teleCARE IP, is said to make good use of the numerous possibilities of IP technology. According to Ascom officials, this system offers the full range of traditional nurse call functions and can also be integrated into other IP-based equipment used in the everyday work of staff at hospitals or other care facilities.
The teleCARE IP is said to include independent IP-Arcade controllers with independent management and control functions for each room. Ascom teleCARE IP also provides a broad range of messaging capabilities, delivering an enhanced service level such that a call can be automatically sent to a designated competent caregiver. If the caregiver is busy, the call will automatically be transferred to the next person.
Moreover, the company official also said that with Ascom teleCARE IP, all activities such as calls and alarms can be stored and technical reports can be generated by the system and can be analyzed and evaluated from a user friendly interface for follow-up and improvement of working routines.
MEDICA 2009 is one of the most reputed medical trade fair with some 4,300 exhibitors from 80 countries.
