Broadvox Forms Partnership with The Amanda Company

By Brian Solomon

Broadvox (News - Alert) has achieved interoperability with the Vdex-40 IP PBX system, according to an announcement today. The Amanda Company is a Master Distributor of TechnoCo’s Vdex-40 embedded Asterisk (News - Alert)* IP-PBX for North America.

“Vdex-40 IP PBXsystems feature multiple location connectivity, automated attendants and remote extensions which make it an ideal choice for contact centers,” said Broadvox Director of Business Development Eric Eckman. “SMBs will appreciate the pricing, especially when they find that standard features include mobile extensions with laptop soft phones and voice mail forwarding to email.”

Deployed with the Vdex-40 IP PBX (News - Alert) system, Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking makes an already affordable VoIP system more desirable. The Vdex-40 IP PBX system supports up to 35 telephones. This, in turn, maximizes voice quality by using separate microprocessors for processing data and voice traffic. Broadvox SIP Trunking scalability and Vdex-40 flexibility can now join forces to create a unique IP telephony offering.

The Broadvox SIP Trunking offering includes DIDs, E911 and local number portability, thereby letting businesses keep their phone numbers. Broadvox SIP Trunking also allows for business continuity during a crisis, as well as unlimited geographical distribution to eliminate or reduce the number of branch office PBXs and PRIs.

Vdex-40 is an Asterisk-based IP-PBX which affords a higher degree of reliability due to being a fully embedded system using flash memory without the common risk of mechanical failure. Vdex-40 can also be connected to POTS lines from the phone company.
