Broadvox Reduces Prices, Offers Repackaged SIP Trunking Products

Offering cost-effective communications to SMBs at a time when many are seeking to operate more efficiently, a Dallas-based provider of customized SIP trunking solutions today diversified its service options and reduced its product prices.
Officials with Broadvox say the changes include simper quoting and ordering processes – upgrades that stand to benefit value-added resellers as well as customers.
Industry insiders already are hailing the company’s new offerings, built around repackaged versions of Broadvox’s (News - Alert) flagship GO! SIP trunking product family. According to Dale Stein, co-founder and director of strategic planning and business development for the San Diego-based Technology Assurance Group National, Broadvox’s move shows a commitment to end-users and VARs.
“Broadvox will continue to maintain their leadership position and enhance market penetration because of their customer oriented focus as well as their unique ability to innovate,” Stein said.
Businesses continuously are seeking to operate more effectively and more efficiently. Bucking downward trends in this economy, some IT companies appear to be thriving – such as Adtran Inc., which today reported $137 million in third-quarter sales, an 11 percent year-over-year increase.
As TMC President Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) highlighted recently, many technologies – such as unified communications, workforce automation and telepresence – are designed to save customers money and make them more productive.
“SIP trunking,” Tehrani writes, “is a natural in this market.”
Broadvox officials describe their GO!Anywhere offering as the mainstay of the company’s SIP trunking products. It offers the benefits of legacy phone service, but saves customers as much as 70 percent on telecom costs compared to TDM systems – in part, because it includes unlimited local and long-distance calling in the United States and Canada.
Pricing for the GO!Anywhere product – which is interoperable with many IP-PBXs and UC solutions – is based on a per concurrent call session basis, with a minimum purchase of three. The company offers month-to-month or multi-year service agreements for GO!Anywhere, and for a three-year agreement, Broadvox waives its set-up fee.
For companies that place far more local, rather than long-distance calls, Broadvox’s GO!Local is a popular option. The newest addition to Broadvox’s SIP trunking product family, GO!Local provides unlimited local calling. Its pricing is based on flat rates per concurrent call session, and customers may purchase whatever long-distance or inbound toll-free minutes they wish.
For call centers or companies involved in areas such as customer support, where dedicated long-distance T1s are a must, Broadvox offers its GO!Domestic product. As part of today’s announcement, Broadvox says GO!Domestic is seeing an across-the-board price reduction.
For any of its GO! SIP trunking solutions, Broadvox offers extra toll-free numbers, enhanced local numbers, E911, directory listing options and DIDs.
Finally, responding to customer demand, Broadvox offers different broadband connections through its GO!Broadband offering, including ADSL, SDSL, fractional T1s, T1s and DS3s. The company doesn’t require that SIP trunking customers purchase a GO!Broadband plan, but must certify that bandwidth quality is strong enough to support a converged network.
Company officials say that with the product repackaging and restructured pricing, Broadvox is expecting to see further growth in its expanding SIP trunking market.
“IP communications has definitely come of age and these flexible,” company officials say. “And cost-effective SIP trunking products will no doubt continue to draw interest from companies that are recognizing the benefits of SIP trunking and unified communications.”
