Zultys Equipment and Broadvox SIP Trunks Complete Interoperability Testing
By Richard Grigonis, Executive Editor, IP Communications Group
Zultys and Broadvox (News - Alert) have announced interoperability certification between the Zultys MX family of IP-PBX communication systems and Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking. This will enable exciting unified communications services to and enterprises, while saving them money and providing high-quality, reliable voice services.
Of all the money-saving telecom-related technologies that exist today, perhaps the one generating the most excitement is SIP trunking. ITSPs (Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers) offer SIP trunking services that can directly connect the IP-PBX of one enterprise network directly over the Internet (or perhaps a private IP line) to another IP-PBX.
Since Voice over IP calls traveling over a SIP trunk never go over the PSTN, you save money – not just on the call itself, but because you don’t need local PSTN gateways, expensive ISDN BRIs (Basic Rate Interfaces) or PRIs (Primary Rate Interfaces). Instead you just need a an IP-PBX or an IP-enabled PBX with a SIP trunk side, an enterprise edge device that can deal with SIP and an Internet telephony or SIP trunking service provider.
Broadvox, a VoIP innovator since 2001, provides SIP (Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert)) trunking services to Small and Medium Business (SMB) and enterprises as well as many carriers. Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking is also suitable for SMBs and makes a perfect fit with the pre-tested interoperability of Zultys’ (News - Alert) PBX products. After all, Zultys, for eight years, has offered a range of “pure” SIP and IP-PBX products. (For example, their MX250 IP-PBX and MX30 IP-PBX servers function as full PSTN/IP gateways and are laden with business-enhancing functionality out of the box, such as Soft Phone, Find-me/Follow-me, Presence, Secure Chat, Teleworker support, SIP open standard desktop and cordless phones, and more.)
The Broadvox VoIP network combined with Zultys technology enables businesses to deploy customized unified communications solutions and achieve the benefits and cost-savings of business VoIP. Broadvox’s nationwide network coverage delivers multi-site customers with the benefit of a single coast-to-coast trusted SIP provider.
