LumenVox Speech Engine Achieves Compliance with BroadSoft's BroadWorks Platform
By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor
LumenVox has achieved interoperability validation of its Speech Engine on the BroadSoft’s (News - Alert) BroadWorks VoIP
application platform.
BroadSoft's application software enables service providers to deliver hosted PBX (News - Alert), mobile PBX and SIP and IP
business trunking services. According to LumenVox (News - Alert), the interoperability enables BroadSoft’s customers to use speech recognition technology in conjunction with BroadWorks.
The LumenVox Speech Engine is a standards-based speech recognizer that supports multiple languages and can perform speech recognition on audio data from any audio source.
According to LumenVox, on Linux or Windows, the speaker and hardware independent Speech Engine powers speech solutions and platforms deployed in Enterprise and SMB environments worldwide.
Moreover, it also provides speech application developers with a development and runtime platform, allowing for dynamic language, grammar, audio format, and logging capabilities to customize every step of their application.
Grammars are entered as a simple list of words or pronunciations, or in the industry standard Speech Recognition Grammar Specification (SRGS).
Gerd Graumann, director of business development at LumenVox, said that BroadSoft interoperability validation confirms “our speech recognition software's high level of accuracy and performance.”
He also said that the Speech Engine underwent extensive testing with BroadWorks and will provide BroadSoft customers with an affordable and valuable speech recognition tool. “The Speech Engine is a strong differentiator for operators' VoIP services and solutions.”
“LumenVox's speech software is an example of how an innovative new technology can enhance what an operator has to offer to their customers with BroadWorks,” commented Sandro Cianci, director of business development at BroadSoft. “Partners like LumenVox boost the value of BroadWorks for operators and end-users alike.”
Earlier in March, the company announced that its Speech Engine is now compliant with Interactive Response (IR) and Voice Portal solutions from Avaya (News - Alert), a provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
The company said that the Speech Engine is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 with Portal 4.0 and IR 3.0.
